Section titled “A New Model for Software”We are the Lean C.R.O.W.D. — a non-profit professional business merging a regenerative software consultancy with a socio-technical think-tank. We operate as a Design Science Laboratory, where philosophy meets mechanical application.
Our Mission
Section titled “Our Mission”To make the existing, manipulative software models obsolete by building a new model focused on net positive contributions to both people and the planet.
Our work is guided by five core values:
- Curious — Comprehensive thinking to understand whole systems
- Regenerative — Moving beyond sustainability to active restoration
- Optimize — Eliminating waste through green algorithms and lean coding
- Whole — Systems thinking applied to software as a living ecology
- DORITH — Do the Right Thing, prioritizing integrity over short-term gain
Three Pillars
Section titled “Three Pillars”The Think-Tank provides the “What” and “Why” — research into socio-technical transitions, digital sustainability, and regenerative computing.
The Consultancy provides the “How” — applying Lean, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery to build software that serves humanity without exploitation.
The Community of Practice unites employees, client-members, and contributors in democratic governance, shared costs, and common purpose.
